A very wearable palette saturated with wonderful browns & just a bright hint of yellow; A bold wash of turquoise compliments those neutrals perfectly.

CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion

Heavy & hairy are great adjectives when it comes to mascara.

I mean, this cheap as chip mascara really delivers what it promises; Length & Volume, with smudge proof finish.

Of course, it didn’t promise curling, and with this heavyweight wonder, you definitely need a lash curler, as it  loads & supersize you lashes in one single stroke. The money you saved by using this mascara will get you a posh curler like Shu Uemura or Chanel in no time.

Lash Blast Fusion lasted almost 12 hours on me, on a hot sunny day when I am drenching in sweats hovering my house. I am impressed.

Some splashes of brights for spring 2012……

So far, I like Paramaribo, Gaiety & lhasa from NARS spring 2012 collection.

April, May or June ?

Definitely April.

I am talking about Chanel’s S2012 Le Vernis collection, April 533 that is, an intoxicating burgundy wine shade.

Prefect spring summer shade that is neither sickly sweet  nor OTT bold.  Just paint yours nails with this gorgeous shade and you’ll be ready to rock through SS2012.

Voile de Blush is a water-based gel blush. It provides a sheer wash of color to subtly tint your cheeks. The ultra-light and refreshing texture allows an easy and flawless application to the cheeks  for a radiant glow.

Highly concentrated gel infused with water soluble pigments, tiny sparkles of mother-of-pearl and moisturizing glycerin provides a burst of refreshing hydration; Transparent silicon polymer adds comfort and makes it incredibly easy to blend.

The results ? A glowing, natural look, perfect for Spring time.

N°1 Voile Carmin: a bright, candy apple red
N°2 Voile Corail: a bursting-with-health apricot
N°3 Voile Rose: a sparkling pink

Definitely LPB’s spring must have.

Kate Somerville Quench Hydrating Face Serum

Pardon for my recent absence since I was busy moving, decorating & gardening.

Now, during those stressful periods, my skin was kept under control by a few products that truly deliver results, some old & trusted favorites & some new found hotties……

Kate Somerville Quench Hydrating Face Serum is an advance serum designed to pull essential moisture deep into the skin and lock it there. It is formulated to create a gorgeous, dewy complexion that’s silky soft and satiny smooth. This serum promises to turn back time with a powerful combination of age defense ingredients, such as:

HSC Complex to deliver intense hydration, while counteracting environmental stressors.
An intense form of Vitamin A  to promote healthy looking skin.
Lipids to help improve elasticity.
Wheat Germ for firmness.

Ingredients : Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone, Ethylhexy Stearate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lecithin, Glycolipids, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl, Cocoate, Sodium Ascorbate, Water (Aqua), Tocopherol, Retinol, Caprylyl Glycol.

This extremely versatile facial serum managed to keep my skin smoothed, soothed & hydrated when I was less devoted to my skincare regime. Now I understand why Paula B, yes, the analytical, critical Queen Begoun gave this product an excellent rating; Here’s an abstract from beautypedia about this product:

” It has a beautifully smooth, silicone-based texture that makes skin feel like silk, and it provides potent cell-communicating ingredients and antioxidants, including retinol, all in stable packaging. Quench Hydrating Serum is fragrance and preservative-free ( preservatives are not required because the product is non-aqueous ) and assuredly one of Somerville’s better formulations. Now this would be money well spent ! “

And yes, I love this quenching serum & due to its silky texture. It makes a great moisturizing primer. A skin saver for dehydrated, parched, reactive & aging skin. Shame it hasn’t got any SPF, otherwise it could simply be the one & only skincare product you need in daytime prior to makeup application.

A star product from Kate Somerville, IMO, for a glowing, petal fresh & dewy moist complexion.

My second bedroom, my sanctuary……

A bejeweled Medicine Buddha residing in the recess of my head board for a sense of serenity & activation of benevolent, healing Qi.

Some decorative accents……

A black crystal lamp base with metallic silver fan patterned shade.  The reflective fan patterns are believed to dispel all Shar Qi.

I am grateful to be able to utilize this room for my retreat & relaxation.
