Sejaa

Posted on

What’s after the successful career in international modelling, a hot husband & an adorable baby ?

A skin care line, obviously !

Gisele has recently launched a skin care line – SEJAA.

Driven by the desire to develop a line of pure and natural skincare, Gisele also wanted to create products with as little impact on the environment as possible. Using all-natural ingredients, calming fragrances, thoughtful packaging and recycled paper.

All Sejaa ingredients are not only 100% natural, they are free of any parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic or genetically modified ingredients. Sejaa uses only cosmetic-grade emulsifiers & its formulas don’t contain synthetic preservatives.

The shelf life of the products is 24 months.

Currently consist of 3 products – a day cream, a night cream & a mud mask.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Sun Defense SPF 50

Posted on

What you love about the classic Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant…now in an intensive sun protection with SPF 50.

This lightweight, oil-free lotion helps protect your skin from sun exposure while hydrating for up to 8 hours.

The powerful SPF 50 helps shield skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays that can cause sunburn, surface skin cell damage and premature signs of aging.

This is a lightweight, oil-free lotion that helps to protect your skin from sun exposure while hydrating for up to 8 hours ; suitable for all skin types  & It’s PABA-free !

I got sunburnt while sitting under shade in Royal Botanical garden in Sydney ! I am still on recovery ( My fair skin tone is long gone, now it’s blemished with tiny sun freckles and annoying tan line )

Wish I was more careful and had packed my Elizabeth Arden  8 Hour Cream SPF 50 with me.

I loves EA 8 SPF50 ( my trusted skin guardian ). Despite the high SPF ( ie. adequate protection ), it’s non occlusive and wouldn’t leave a white cast on my face.

It smells wonderful ( smoothing, comforting, medicinal = yeah, the either loves it or hate it 8 hour cream fragrance ) and feels really hydrating.

The finish is rather semi matte and I use it as a base for powdery foundation on days that I am out & about.

I could just wear this alone on the beach !

Chanel Kaska Beige Eyeshadow

Posted on

Chanel’s spring 2010.

I loves these shades and had been using them lately on a daily basis.  Kaska Beige is very powdery and unlike most of Chanel’s eyeshadow palette, is rather matt in finish and has minimal glitters !

I like using the deepest shade ( which is purplish dark brown ) wet as an eyeliner, it lasts for at least 8 hours on my lids; yes Chanel’s Kaska Beige could be used dry or wet, very versatile; the finish is slightly more opaque & intense if used wet ; natural with light shimmer ( subtle ) is used dry.

It should be a staple in everyone’s vanity case.

Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil

A 2-in-1 formula that gently removes all traces of makeup & cleanses skin while maintaining natural moisture levels.

Olive and Jojoba Oils condition skin and leave it feeling soft and supple while Ginger Root Extract soothes and calms the skin.

This subtly scented cleansing oil removes make up instantly,  the faint lavender aroma makes it rather relaxing to use. BB cleansing oil feels feathery light upon application, dissolves long lasting foundation, mineral powder, grimes spontaneously & thoroughly !

It’s very gentle ; I even use it on my eyes & lashes, without any discomfort or irritation.

In my opinion, this is the best cleansing oil. ( sorry Shu Uemura, this is much lighter in texture, easier to emulsify and more readily rinsable )

SK II Cellumination Deep Surge

Posted on

One step closer to fair & even skin tone that illuminates from within?

Enriched with De-Melano P3c that has 5X the brightening/whitening effect of kojic acid, plant extract Talape  & concentrated Pitera, SK II brings us Cellumination.

Skin that glows and sparkles like diamond !

SK II deep surge is a heavy duty moisturiser that promise to offer superb hydration, plumping and brightening effect.

It has a rather dense texture although it looks like a cream gel. I had difficulty picking up the waxy-mucusy cream with my finger ( spatula is included in the packaging ). It is rather waxy upon application ( but not occlusive/greasy ) but dries down to a semi matt finish after 15 minutes.

This oilment ( as I would call it ) is an excellent moisturiser as it diminish fine dry lines like miracle !

I had not used it long enough to commend on it’s brightening effect on spots or dullness. It does plump up fine lines and leave a hydra-veil like finish on my skin, making it looking fresher & clearer.

The 1st three ingredients on the container are Pitera, Ascorbyl Glucoside ( a form of vitamin C, likely lipid soluble, thus the formulation  of this waxy cream ) & water; so I have my faith in this cream to bring me an even, radiant  & refined complexion.

Not to mention glycerin, niacinamide, lecithin & squalene to keep my skin well nourished!

PS : This moisturiser is known as Deep Surge in Japan and Illumination Cream in US; also the ingredient list varies slightly between the 2 versions!

Ingredients (US): Aqua (Water), Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate**, Niacinamide, Triethylhexanoin, Pentylene Glycol, Isopropyl Isostearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butylene Glycol, Sucrose Polycottonseedate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Batyl Alcohol, Squalane, Panthenol, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Centella Asiatica Extract, Lecithin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Cetyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Stearate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Stearoxy Ether, Stearyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Behenyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 80, Sodium Methyl Stearoyl Taurate, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzoate, Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Disodium Phosphate, Sodium Phosphate.
