M.A.C. In the Groove Collection review

Blue My Mind mineralize eyeshadow trio – the very nice & subtle pale blue shade instantly brightens up my lids, makes me looks fresh & awake, the finish is matte with very subtle shimmer; the teal shade in the middle is actually not that metallic in finish, just offering a sheen of marine cool finish; the darkest navy black shade is a disappointment as it’s just too sheer to be used as a decent liner ( even when used wet ),  it might be used as a smudge powder on top of your liner, again, don’t expect a high metallic mega watt finish, it’s more like a toned down glimmer at its best.

Good for blue eyeshadow virgin that prefers a sheer wash of colour without the drama.

By Candlelight mineralize skinfinish – a soft glittered pink-beige ( more nude beige than pink ), great as a highlighter with very fine radiance; it’s like a magical veil that illuminates your skin from within, highly recommended.

A great perk-me-up product, can even be used on bare face to add some dimensions to a flat out poker face.

You’ve Got It cremesheen glass –  a muted grey brown non-sticky, sheer gloss with multicolored shimmer, predominantly silver. It like a Chanel particuliere for the lips; this mushroom shade lip gloss has a semi-sheer finish with very subtle shimmer to make understated nude lips appear interesting.

A great shade for Fall 2010.

  1. I didn’t really like the trios I picked up.
As you mentioned, some colours are a little too sheer.
    Only great as a “wash”.

    • You’re right, most of the colours are just lack of punch, dare I say; only great if you prefer a light & natural finish
