While eye-color may provide a glimpse into your soul, it’s a perfect skin base – lightweight, moist and smooth – that can make or break your face.
This is why Lancome’s Teint Idole Silky Mat contains a high percentage of water (49%), rendering the formula fluid, easy to apply and perfect for an extra-fresh appearance.
Your face will look immediately hydrated and luminous, with a natural matte finish guaranteed to last 18 hours.
Your skin is left to breathe, with a natural, even tone and no dreaded mask-effect.
This lite liquid foundation feels fresh upon application. Its rather runny texture makes blending seem effortless, without streaking. I am using shade 03 Beige Diaphane, which matches my skin tone perfectly.
Regarding to the advertised 18 hours breathable perfection, I could testify that Silky Mat may last 18 hours, but not without oily breakthrough, slipping & creasing.
The refined, fresh finish only lasted about 4 hour on my skin. I still need to set this foundation with a veil of loose powder so that my complexion has a soft powdery finish. On its own, Silky Mat is rather dewy, not even semi matte.
It has SPF 16, feels watery fresh & cool, provides a rather medium coverage yet looks sheer & luminous; but it’s neither oil controlling nor transfer-proof.
It may be good for an 8 hours wear, It definitely will not last 18 hours.
Not the best long lasting foundation, not even the best Lancome foundation.
