Shu Uemura Essence Absolue

Posted on

Eastern purity combined with Western glamour !

A magic elixir for dry hair ! It intensely hydrates, adds shine, and makes hair healthier.

One of the main ingredients of this serum is camellia (also known as tsubaki [椿]) oil, which is a tea seed oil that’s high in vitamin E and other antioxidants, making it a wonderful product for hair; It also claims to help with hair growth and keep it looking brilliant and nourished.

This amazing hair essence is extremely versatile, It could be used as :

1- Intensely hydrating leave-in conditioner for very dry/damaged hair

2- Pre-shampoo treatment for deep, nourishing care

3- Hair & scalp treatment during color application, adding shine, moisture and elasticity to processed lengths & ends

4- Protective barrier against the sun’s harmful rays (UV filter)

5- Ultra-shine finisher

6- Hair fragrance

Shu Uemura Essence Absolue makes my hair feels softer & shinier than silk, lighter than chiffon and as luxurious as cashmere .  It leaves my hair ultra soft, manageable, shiny and pleasantly scent ! The fresh floral/camellia aroma of this serum smells nothing like styling product, instead it resembles some expensive, pampering facial cream, it’s so delicate that i was really tempted to use it as a body moisturiser.

There is absolutely no oiliness, greasiness, weighting from this product. It is instantly absorbed into my hair. All the frizziness I have after a clarifying shampooing gets tamed, smoothed & softened.

This impressive liquid gold is worth its weight. I had never spend 35 GBP on any hair care product before ( I used to love Kerastase ) but I am totally converted by this miraculous essence; I wouldn’t hesitate to repurchase.

Shu Uemura had managed to establish a new gold standard for all hair smoothing/nourishing serums.
