Lancome’s Teint Miracle is a sheer to medium coverage liquid foundation that recreates a perfect canvas on your face by manipulating light rays. This is a glow giving, radiance enhancing foundation that promise to make you appears fresh & revitalised.

IMO, this is a rather excellent foundation in terms of texture, finish & technologies. It glides on smoothly, feels creamy & leaves the skin soft & demi-dewy, with an extremely subtle but visibly noticeable sheen. Yes, this foundation does perk up my complexion upon application. Coverage is more than sheer ( I can even get away with using this to cover my under eye circles ) & It lasts up to 6 hours sans powder.

On my skin, it kind of creases & cakes a little after 4 hours of wear, with or without loose powder setting. For this reason alone, Teint Miracle is far from achieving the holy grail status It longs.

This is the Queen Mother of all those ” your skin but better ” foundations. It helps you fake 8 hours sleep, turn back time & escape mortality. Okay, maybe a bit of exaggeration here but it’s as good as multiple orgasms.

I had mine in B30. The colour coding is a bit complicated & shades selection is rather limited. It comes in a plastic bottle with nozzle. ( Weightless, travel & user friendly but not as glamourous as glass bottle with pump dispenser )

Nevertheless, this is my holy grail foundation. ( for sheer, dewy, luminous finish )

LPB July 2010 Favourites

These are my rescue remedies this month, as I was having a bad cold and dare I say, I was looking ghastly and had to rely on these miracle products in order not to scare people away.

Eve Lom cleanser‘s astringency aroma is great at clearing congested skin & sinuses as well, the massaging action and muslin cloth help boost sluggish circulation. Shiseido Revital cleansing foam is mild & gentle, it also contains hyaluronic acid granules to replenish my patchy skin during washing.

Sisley Express Flower Gel & Eye Contour Mask are lifesavers; absolutely stunning  at rehydrating, refreshing, decongesting, lifting & brightening complexion. These should be on prescription!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair needs no introduction, great at repairing & boosting skin. SK II Cellumination Deep Surge & Skin Signature provide the much needed illumination, nourishment & vitality to my swallow complexion.

Frizzy hair was kept under control with Moroccanoil treatment.

Sometimes, an infirm will be desperate for a magical wand to rid of all his suffering & misery. Well, my pray was partially answered. Those amazing pens ( By Terry VIP Expert Foundation & Touche Veloutee ) work wonders on my complexion – a well rested, radiant complexion was granted instantly.

I used Chantecaille Lip Chic, M.A.C Stereo Rose & Shiseido Luminizing Satin eyeshadow to add some colour back to my washed out face /soul.

I might be coughing & sneezing, but I need to smell fabulous. Acqua Di Parma Magnolia Nobile is my favourite of the month.

I applied this product in brisk strokes with my foundation brushes. Coverage is medium yet buildable. This foundation yields a very dewy, fresh finish. It is not matte, but wouldn’t leaves shiny residues or greasy patches on my skin.

A very economical, user friendly, portable, skin caring foundation. NC30 is my shade. Shame it hasn’t got UVA protection.

LPB HG Face Base

Those of you that follows my blog probably knew that I am a huge fan of YSL Teint Resist.

Guess what ? I think I just found some great products that give the ultimate ” my skin but better ” finishes. These will probably be my HG products ( foundation & concealer ).

I am testing them at the moment and will report back soon ( and fighting the urge of stocking them up ).

Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup SPF 10

023 is a good match for my skin tone. This sheer finish liquid foundation feels refreshingly hydrating upon application. It requires swift blending and it dries  rather quickly.

Diorskin nude gives a sheer, natural, semi-matte finish, yet provides adequate coverage for my pores, blemishes & dark circles. I don’t need to set it with powder. Without powder, It lasts up to 4 hours before any oily breakthrough is noticeable; It doesn’t oxidises but tend to streak on my skin ( only on the bridge of nose where my spectacles slides, not into creases or laugh lines ).

A basic, light, sheer, hydrating foundation that’s easy to wear. My weekend base where I prefer a weightless, barely noticeable, “my skin but better” finish.

Battle of the Foundations ( 2 )

Here, LPB is revealing his holy grail foundation – best suits for oily / combination skin that prefers sheer to medium coverage and comfortable yet extended wear.

Clarins Everlasting Foundation has a smooth buttery texture, glides on like a dream, moderate oil control power, lasts up to 8 hours ( without oxidation ) but has a poor selection of shades.

Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation is exactly what it’s named; Refreshing fluid that gives the most incredible coverage, blends & builds up effortlessly, lasts up to 8 hours ( with a layer of loose powder on top ) and you probably know that BB has a reputation for great shades selection.

The winner is obviously Yves Saint Laurent Teint Resist ( I have an article dedicated to this miracle foundation on here ). Frankly, I always has 2 bottles of it at anytime one time, just in case YSL decides to discontinue it.
