Chantecaille Lip Chic

Posted on

Lip Chic is a revolutionary hybrid that combines the high shine and plumping effects of a gloss with the rich, even coverage of a lipstick. It goes on with an incredibly soft, lightweight texture as it helps to smooth and firm the lips.

This exceptionally comfortable formula is easy to apply in an even finish that is shiny but never sticky. Lip Chic leaves lips fuller and decidedly more youthful in appearance, but never irritated.

I like Lip Chic due its innovative formulation & unique texture. It feels like a refreshing coat of jelly upon application, packing enough brightness onto my lips ( although  the shades are more vivid in the tube then on the lips ), lacquering them with just enough glossiness without appearing greasy & feeling sticky.

It also has a very faint vanilla aroma, that I could barely detect.

The ultimate finish is a sheer stain of bold colour, with a healthy sheen; Totally non opaque and non feathering. My lips felt balmy & nourished, less flaky & wrinkly.

I have Camellia ( neutral babydoll pink ) &  Geranium ( warm peachy coral ). Worth every penny of the GBP 26 / USD 30, in my opinion.

What would happen if you take a beauty addict away ( to another city ), make him spend his weekend attending course ?

Lots of shopping after seminars, modules & surgical practices.

Here are some of my shopping spree, pictures taken with my iphone under artificial, dimmed lightning: YSL Teint Radiance foundation, Fard Lumiere water resistant eyeshadow; M.A.C  Sheertone blush Garp, eyeshadow Gazette Grey, Memorabilia,  creme polish Brown Bag; Chanel rouge coco Camellia & Mademoiselle.

Same items under spotlight.

The obligatory natural lightning picture.

I had too much self control and missed these wonderful products during a recent work trip; I could only longing for them now. I tried & tested them, just didn’t purchase them ( regrettably ).

1) Rouge CoCo Gardenia, Rouge CoCo Camellia, Rouge CoCo Teheran – I can’t believe I didn’t purchase these Chanel’s limited distribution lipsticks ! Gardenia & Camellia looks really nice & natural on my lips, while Teheran looks rather tacky & too orange ( Oh Lord, it is neon coral ) on my complexion.

2) Viktor & Rolf Antidote – the last bottle, 100ml, on 50 % discount, in airport duty free. An extreme vetyver number great for refreshing the room. The bottle itself makes it an excellent piece of room decorator.

3) Chanel’s Aqualumiere Gloss Bondi Beach – sheer golden rose gloss, exclusive edition by house of Chanel.

4) M.A.C Give Me Liberty of London Lipsticks – Blooming Lovely ( Greyed Lilac/Mauve ) & Peachstock ( Neutral Peach )

What was I thinking ? Should have just swipe my credit card !

Trilogy Very Gentle Cleansing Cream

Posted on

An extremely gentle cleanser designed to care for even the most sensitive and easily irritated skin. Delicately cleanses and thoroughly removes all make-up.

Combines natural spring water, Camellia oil and Chamomile, ingredients chosen for their non-sensitising and soothing properties with pure plant oils to thoroughly cleanse without drying and protect the weakened skin barrier of sensitive skin.

Trilogy Very Gentle Cleansing Cream is enriched with Spring water, Camellia, Avocado and Almond to gently and effectively remove all traces of make-up while soothing sensitive skin. Gentle pure plant oils replace soap and detergents so the skin is not stripped of vital lipids.

This creamy cleanser is mild enough to be used on sensitive skin, I had been using it for the past 2 weeks as I started my pulses of anti-wrinkle Retin A Regime. My skin usually gets flaky & reddened when I initiate the treatment. This cleanser manage to keep my complexion smoothed & hydrated.

Its non foaming but very emulsifying; It claims to be able to remove  make up but I would use a separated make up remover if I am wearing long lasting or waterproof  make up; It’s efficient in removing light make up only, in my opinion.

I enjoyed massaging this creamy emulsion over my face and rinsing it off with a flannel cloth. This gently cleansing, intensely nourishing yet invigorating ( manual exfoliation with flannel cloth ) step leaves my complexion soothed & purified.

I would say this could be the Eve Lom’s version for sensitive / irritated skin. I highly recommend it to reactive, inflammed or extremely dehydrated skin.
