Breton Stripes

Posted on

My current obsessions.

The Breton shirt was officially created by the 27th March 1858 Act which introduced this blue and white striped knitted shirt in the uniform list of the French seaman. It was said that this stripe allowed to locate more easily if a man had fallen into the sea.

I like mine from Armor.Lux.

In fact, I may be in my nautical phase at the moment, I also want this Phillip Lim’s necklace.

Some ideas if you’re going for a dress up party. It’s out of the season now, but these funky Sass & Bide numbers are keeper ……( They are on sales as well ! )

Recycle last season blue shadows & turquoise liners. Dress up can be fun & thrifty.

SK II Hadado

Posted on

Inspired by the Asian philosophy of do (道), or the belief that there is a specific way to achieving the best results, SK-II has introduced two new cleansing products made with Pitera to help you master the way to ‘crystal clear skin’.

The Facial Treatment Gentle Cleansing Cream is the first step in the system. Luxuriously creamy, it contains concentrated Pitera and Mild Treatment Essence, an ingredient complex consisting of White Willow Extract and SymCalmin®, a synthesized oat active to hydrate skin while effectively removing makeup.

Next, use the Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser to effectively remove any excess oil, dirt and residual make-up. It is also formulated with concentrated Pitera and Mild Treatment Essence that gently treats dry and rough skin to leave your skin feeling refreshed, dewy moist and velvety to the touch.

The new Facial Treatment Cream Foundation creates a lustrous, translucent finish and provides thorough coverage with its rich, creamy texture that smoothly blends with the skin. It contains Concentrated Pitera to maintain your skin’s moisture when you have it on and keep skin supple when you remove it.

I am rather tempted, especially if they market it as a ritual……

I need to hunt these down when flying next. Apparently they’re travel exclusives ( What an excuse to shop in duty free ) and make the perfect gifts. I know a few girls that would rock the rocker chick & some that adores girl next door.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine

Posted on

If you only buy 1 lipstick this Spring 2011, make Rouge Coco Shine – Boy your only one. LPB predicts this to be the greatest IT lipstick of the year.

Rouge Coco Shine has 25 semi-sheer shades, with a soft texture that becomes fluid on contact with the lips; Made from wax and plant-based Phytosterol derivatives, Rouge Coco Shine gives a subtle colour.

The 25 shade names were inspired by Coco Chanel’s history. The signature shade is dubbed Boy, and is an easy-to-wear rosewood. The reference is to the affair between Gabrielle Chanel and Capt Arthur ‘Boy’ Capel.

Daisy Eau so Fresh

Spring seems to be the time for launching those pleasantly light, fresh flowery, politically correct fragrances.

More fruity, more sparkling & more bubbly than the original Daisy !

Marc Jacob Daisy Eau so Fresh features fruity notes of raspberry, grapefruit, and pear with floral notes of violet, wild rose, and apple blossom on a base of musks, cedar wood, and plum to add a certain sophistication to all that playfulness.

With equally bright nails in pomegranate/strawberry/raspberry……

Suddenly Spring 2011 is as gastronomical as a fruit sundae.
